The McGrath Foundation raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia as well as increasing breast awareness in young people.
Founded by Jane McGrath, the Foundation helps many women across the country receive the crucial support that breast care nurses provide – a support that Jane experienced herself after her treatment for secondary cancer. The Foundation’s breast care nurses specialise in managing the treatment of patients, becoming the main link between the patient and their doctors at every stage of treatment, and helping patients understand the complex treatments and technical information relevant to their care. They also play an important emotional role, offering support to both the patient and their families.
In addition, the McGrath Foundation works to raise awareness of breast cancer – particularly among young women in Australia. The Foundation encourages them to become empowered and informed on their health, through educating young women to familiarise themselves with what’s normal for their breasts, and how to take care of them.
Ansell’s donation to the Foundation aims to help the Foundation continue the essential work they do – and you can join the fight. We’ll be donating $1 from every pack of 16-pack Zero über-thin condoms sold at Coles to support the McGrath Foundation breast care nurses working with Australian families in need.
